Taking an alcohol test is not the easiest thing in the world to do. Sure, undergoing the process itself is easy, but it can be pretty nerve-wracking if you have a serious reason why you need the alcohol test in the first. Alcohol tests are done for a variety of reasons. One reason to take the test is if you are ordered by a court to do so, particularly in cases of child custody. You have to prove that you are a fit parent, and that you have been sober for a while, if you have a history of abusing alcohol. Going through child custody proceedings coupled with the pressure of taking–and passing–the alcohol test is enough to make one a bit nervous, to say the least.

Whenever something like an investigation is taking place, the usual saying in such a situation goes “The innocent have nothing to fear.” Even if you’re not guilty of something, you still tend to be seized by an irrational fear that things will go horribly wrong and make you out to be some kind of wrongdoer. Tests of any kind also bring out a whole host of worries in a person. Remember the dread you felt as a student every time exams rolled around?
